The surroundings

Torrevieja, with about 90,000 inhabitants, is the largest town on the southern Costa Blanca. The town has a harbour, a long promenade and the beaches Playa del Cura, Los Locos and La Mata. Behind the town are two salt lakes, one of them known for its pink colour. Torrevieja has its own hospital and the Habaneras shopping centre. Alicante airport is about 45 km away.
